Cultural evening with students from Taiwan and South Korea

The on-campus restaurant “Na Farmě” served as a venue on 27 July for a presentation by students from Taiwan and South Korea, who were attending the Management and Leadership Summer Academy, organised jointly by the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office in Prague and CZU Prague. The event was sponsored by the director of the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office in Prague, Mr Sheau-Jung Lu, and was organised by the Vice Dean for International Relations of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Dr. Roman Kvasnička.

Students talked about their respective countries’ culture and traditions, and their presentation included a culinary and musical section. Mr Jiří Měchura, an exchange student from the Faculty of Economics and Management, talked about his experience during his studies in Taiwan, and Ms Monika Čechová from the Czech-South Korean Association, talked about cooperation of both countries. At the end of the event all attendants had the opportunity to learn how their names can be written in Mandarin and Korean calligraphy.
