On Sunday, November 29th, 2020, a group of CZU international scholars joined together for a walk through the hidden parts of the historical Hradčany region. The purpose of this event was to start bringing together the university‘s International Scholars community.
We started our walk at Novy Svet (New World) by the romantic log cabin, now known as Hotel U Raka. The medieval buildings and picturesque houses we saw were rebuilt in Renaissance style and are today homes to many famous artists and writers. These buildings led us to Loreto Square. Later, at the Strahov Monastery we enjoyed glasses of mulled wine. Afterward, as we continued our walk, we came to a popular spot where we were able to view the city, and it was there that we unexpectedly met other CZU researchers! We all agreed that CZU scholars may be found in many areas in Prague.
Our goal was accomplished! None of the participants knew each other before the walk in spite of working at CZU for several years.
