International competition for young scientists and innovators

On September 14, 2021, the 6th annual Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic international competition will take place at the National Technical Library, with the aim of bringing together a future generation of great scientists and innovators to come up with a breathtaking idea - a science project, business plan or social initiative that will break down all walls and barriers.

The presentation of the competitors takes place in English in the format of the so-called "pitch-talk", which is a maximum of three minutes. It doesn't matter if it is a topic of computer technology or medicine, economics or mechanical engineering, philosophy, robotics, chemistry, art or agriculture - the competition is open to anyone who is convinced of his idea and can convince others of it. Students of all levels, even Ph.D., are welcome. and postdoc. Registration is possible via the Falling Walls website.

The Czech national round of the international project Falling Walls will take place on September 14, 2021 at the National Technical Library in Prague and the deadline for applications is June 30, 2021. The winner of the national round will receive a cash donation of 1,000 EUR and will represent the Czech Republic at the world finals in Berlin, which is regularly organized on the eve of the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. This year on November 7-9, 2021.

The Falling Walls Lab in the Czech Republic is represented by the National Technical Library in cooperation with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Embassy of Germany in Prague, xITEE, the Czech-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Czech Technology Agency and CzechInvest.
