On Wednesday, 29 June 2022, the Czech Technology Agency announced the sixth public competition under the Programme of Applied Research, Experimental Development and Innovation in the Field of Environment, entitled Environment for Life, which is aimed in particular at new solutions in the field of environment and at contributing to ensuring a healthy and quality environment in the Czech Republic. The aim is also to minimise the negative impacts of human activity on the environment, including impacts that go beyond national borders.
The sixth public competition was announced in two sub-programmes, namely:
Sub-programme 1: Operational Research in the Public Interest (PP1) (Focusing on addressing topics with local, regional and societal impacts, the results of which are usable in public administration and for the development of strategic and conceptual documents. Sub-programme 1 will support R&D projects in the public interest only).
Sub-programme 2: Eco-innovations, technologies and practices for environmental protection (PP2) (Support for projects focused on environmental technologies and eco-innovations and projects oriented towards innovative approaches with practical applicability mitigating the impacts of climate change, reflecting the protection of natural resources and trend-oriented to current environmental challenges. This sub-programme is funded by the National Recovery Plan.)
The deadline for receipt of project proposals is set for Wednesday 14 September 2022. The results will be announced on Friday 31 March 2023. Project support is expected to start on 1 April 2023 and earmarked support of CZK 88 million has been approved for this year.
