The National Information Day was held on 31 October 2013 on the occasion of the new programme period of the European Programme for RD & Innovation Horizon 2020, with focus on Food Security, Sustainable Agriculture, Marine Research, Bioeconomy, Climate Protection and effective use Natural Resources management.
CULS Prague Formula Student Prototype (FS/SAE) - On track for a new racing season!

After several months of preparations and tests, students from CULS Faculty of Engineering officially presented their new CULS Formula Student (FS/SAE) racing car to the public, on 6 August 2013. Following up on their excellent results during the 2012 racing season, the CULS FS racing team is on track for the racing season 2013 (22 August in Gyor, Hungary, 29 August in Spielberg, Austria, and 19 September in Varano de Melagari, Italy).

Water birds prefer landing on the surface of water from the South West, regardless of the direction they have flown from, whether the wind was light, what the position of the sun was, what the weather was like or what was the locality. This has been found out by researchers from CULS Prague and the Duisburg – Essen University in Germany, and published in a study in the impacted scientific journal “Frontiers in Zoology” (see http://www.frontiersinzoology.com/content/10/1/38).

The Field Robot Event is a robotics agriculture international competition which has been organizing since 2003 in Holland. This year the Field Robot Event was held on the trial and experimental fields of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, from 27 to 29 June.

Educational surveys and university rankings provide valuable clues for the public, as well as for prospective students, about the quality of higher educational institutions. Hospodářské Noviny (HN), a Czech respected daily newspaper, recently published an interesting article about a survey made by the Czech Student Union (SU), called “Faculty of the Year”. HN went as far as to compare the relevance of the SU ranking to the EU Universities and Faculties Ranking, called U-Multirank.
CASIA Project - The latest project from Erasmus Mundus

The CASIA project (Central Asia Student International Academic exchange with EU) is an Erasmus Mundus Partnership with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The project aims at fostering structured cooperation between European and Third Country higher education institutions.
CASIA project promotes mobility at all level of studies for students (undergraduate and master), doctoral candidates, researchers, academic and administrative staff.
101 fellowships are available for candidates from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan within the framework of CASIA grant, from December 2010 till November 2014
