The project is based on the priorities of the Long-term Plan for the Educational, Scientific, Research, Innovation and Creative Activities of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague for the period 2016-2020 and aims to identify and support the quality of teaching and learning in Bachelor's and Master's programmes and in lifelong learning across the university. The target group of the project are academics and students of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. Partial objectives of the project include: 1. systematic improvement and innovation of processes and tools to ensure the quality of CZU educational activities in Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes and in lifelong learning in accordance with the current objectives of CZU Long-term Plan, 2. increasing pedagogical, professional and academic competences of IEC and CZU academic staff and creating suitable conditions for their pedagogical and scientific work..
Practice and quality - support for further education of academic staff 2017
The project aims at increasing the quality of teaching in the IEC Bachelor's degree programmes, improving the overall professional training of future graduates and at strengthening motivation of students’ to practice the teaching profession.
To achieve this aims, the following steps will be taken:
- implementation of practical forms of teaching in the teacher training (obstetrical practice, controlled pedagogical practice, group practice);
- Improving the quality of teaching at the IEC CZU, connecting the theoretical lessons with the reality of vocational education, introducing activating teaching methods and modern didactic techniques;
- co-operation with graduates of bachelor study programmes focused on pedagogy and didactic;
- publicity of IEC programmes, including an adaptation program for students of the first year of study;
- promoting inclusive education.
The project responds to the current developmental trends in the society and in the professional sphere, trying to harmonize the content of teacher training with the real requirements for the teacher's work and with the real situation in the educational institutions. The new methods of theoretical and practical part of the training will thus increase the overall quality of the graduates, which will have a positive impact on their transition to professional life and on the actual performance of the teaching profession.
BEGIN: Broadening experience with guidance in vocational education
The main aim of this project is to implement two student mobilities between both partner institutions. This plan will complement the exchange of academic staff. Through expected future cooperation, participants can acquire and share knowledge and understanding of current systems of vocational education and training (VET) in both countries, especially with regard to the role of guidance and counselling methods as a part of VET. In a short-term perspective the project will enhance the professional skills of students, namely skills which could be applied in vocational education and guidance. In a long-term perspective it is assumed that outcomes should improve the quality of initial training of both vocational teachers and counsellors. An important benefit of the project will be further cooperation between partners in research and innovations.
Improving the quality of teaching and the study support in Bachelor's degree study programmes and follow-up Master's degree study programmes and Life Long Learning
This project aims to enhance the current system of internal quality evaluation of CZU educational activities in Bachelor's degree study programmes, and follow-up Master's degree study programmes, and in Lifelong Learning. This is to make them more efficient in compliance with the aims of CZU long-term plans, raise the professional level of the individual educational employees and the whole educational staff, including developing their pedagogical competencies, and to improve the quality of academic and other creative activities of the academic staff by various mechanisms including those tried and tested abroad.
Innovate the educational process in the Didactics of adults’ education, by means of the study materials
The project aims at innovating the educational process in the subject of the Didactics of Adult Education by means of study materials, namely study text designed for the study of Guidance in vocational education, both in combined and daily forms of study.
