2nd International Garden Party organized by the Welcome Centre for International Scholars

On Friday, September 20th, we celebrated our 2nd International Garden Party at the beautiful Suchdol Community Garden. The event was a great success, with international employees and their families coming together for an afternoon filled with fun, food, and cultural exchange.

Colleagues from various countries had the chance to meet, socialize, and enjoy the wonderful late summer weather in the scenic surroundings of the garden. The atmosphere was lively, filled with laughter and the aroma of delicious dishes prepared by the participants, who shared typical foods and beverages representing their home countries. Of course, the grill was fired up, and everyone enjoyed some perfectly cooked grilled meat and cheese, courtesy of the Welcome Center.

The typical Czech sweets that were prepared for the event: the blueberry and plum cakes, were a delightful treat for everyone. Alongside the great food, we organized games for all and activities that kept the little ones entertained throughout the afternoon.

This year’s garden party was a wonderful occasion to celebrate diversity, build connections, and experience the rich flavors and traditions from around the world. We look forward to next year’s edition, hoping it will be just as enjoyable!
