This autumn, we are pleased to welcome two new members to the Welcome Centre team, who will help us enhance the support and guidance we offer our international researchers from around the world.
Agnes V. Megyeri joined our team in November, and Radim Semerád will also be contributing as he settles into his new role from December. Their diverse backgrounds and experiences will strengthen our services and enrich our community.
Agnes comes to us with a strong international background. Originally from Hungary, she later moved to the Czech Republic, and lives here already for more than ten years. Moving here was an experience that has broadened both her professional and personal outlook. She studied International Relations in Budapest, Hungary and later applied her expertise while working at the Hungarian Embassy in Prague. In her free time, she enjoys yoga and spending time in nature with her family. She also brings joy to children as an exercise instructor, inspiring the youngest generation to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.
Radim is from Prague 6 and is currently studying Management and Journalism at Charles University. Before that, he pursued studies in International Relations at the same University, which led him to work at the Ministry of the Interior in the Foreigners’ Residence Department in Prague. In his free time, he enjoys beekeeping, staying active, and playing several musical instruments, mostly woodwinds. He likes spicy food, and his favourite animal is the elephant shrew (Macroscelides proboscideus, african endemic species).
We are excited to have Agnes and Radim on board and look forward to the positive impact they will bring to the Welcome Centre and the wider university community.
