Inclusion is one of the priorities within the Erasmus+ programme. It is possible to take advantage of extra financial support for participants with fewer opportunities or flexibility in the duration of mobility.
Extra financial support - participants with fewer opportunities
- participants with physical, mental or health disabilities
- students or employees
- 100% of the real costs
- participants with an economic barrier, children/dependent persons, specific dietary requirements, etc.
- students only
- one-off scholarship increase
Flexibility in the duration of mobility
- working students, professional sportsmen, students of specific fields of study, and other students identified separately
- students only
- no increase in scholarship is possible
Extra financial support
| participants with physical, mental or health disabilities |
The participant will receive 100% of the actual costs. Can be used for example for special housing, preparatory visits, accompanying persons, adapted teaching materials, etc.
The administrative application process varies according to the amount of support requested. In all cases, it is essential that the participant acts on time, ideally as soon as the results of the selection procedure have been announced. The extra grant is not an entitlement, the application is considered on a case-by-case basis. Upon the end of the study abroad stay, it is necessary to account for the use of the extra grant, i.e. by submitting the relevant invoices/receipts to prove the specific expenses resulting from the health situation during the study abroad stay and which were covered by the grant. Any unused funding must then be repaid.
The administrative process for these applications can be very difficult and very long - please keep this in mind.
How to apply?
Preferably before the selection procedure for mobility, inform the faculty's International Relations Office that you will apply for such support if you are successful. During or shortly after the selection procedure, the coordinators will inform you about the administrative procedure and ask for the relevant documents (usually a medical report and a disabled person's card if you are the holder).
Extra financial support
| participants with an economic barrier, children/dependent persons,
specific dietary requirements, etc. |
Who can apply?
- participants with an economic barrier - as confirmation of the fact: entitlement to child allowance or social scholarship at CZU or proof of household income
- participants with children/dependent persons - as confirmation of the fact: birth certificate or nursing certificate and proof of household income
- participants with specific dietary requirements - as confirmation of the fact: medical report
Additional information on the confirmation
Confirmation of social scholarship and/or child allowance entitlement must be provided by the student only before the start of mobility (for child allowance confirmation for the last quarter completed).
In the case of the consideration of household income, the calculation is based on a coefficient of 3.4 of the household's subsistence minimum (the same as for child allowance).
A student who does not receive child allowance from the Czech government can also apply for an increase in the rate if they can prove that they receive allowances under similar conditions in the country of origin.
The minimum subsistence coefficient is specified in the amendment to Act No. 117/1995 Coll.
Students with an economic disadvantage who receive a social scholarship at the sending institution are entitled to an increased support of EUR 250 on the basis of Section 91(3) of Act No.111/1998 Coll, Higher Education Act and/or who is entitled to child allowance according to the amendment of Act No 117/1995 Coll. Students receiving a social scholarship according to the Higher Education Act and/or who is entitled to child allowance according to the Act on State Social Support are entitled to an increase in funding for the entire period of mobility. Confirmation of social scholarship and/or child allowance entitlement must be provided by the student only before the start of the mobility. Confirmation of the child allowance according to the State Social Support Act shall be provided for the last completed quarter before the start of mobility. A student who is not entitled to child allowance under a special legal regulation may also apply for an increase in the rate if he/she proves that the relevant family income does not exceed the product of the family subsistence minimum and the coefficient specified in the amendment to Act No 117/1995 Coll. A student who does not receive child allowance from the Czech government may also apply for an increase in the rate if he/she proves that he/she receives benefits under similar conditions in the country of origin. After prior consultation and approval by the National Agency, the rate for students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds may be increased in cases other than those mentioned above.

Do not forget to attach the relevant document (confirmation of fact - see above Who can apply?)
Flexibility in the duration of mobility
Who belongs to this category?
- working student - a student with a working contract with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- professional sportsman - it is a natural person whose primary income is earned from the remunerated performance of a sporting activity which is his or her main interest and source of livelihood, and who cannot provide his or her sporting services to other clubs due to an arrangement with a sports club
- student of specific fields of study - CZU Prague has not defined any specific fields of study

Instead of extra financial support, these participants are entitled to short-term combined mobility.
How to apply?
Preferably inform the faculty coordinators during the selection procedure that you are interested in applying for flexibility in the duration of mobility. Alternatively, you can apply after the selection procedure at the central International Relations Office. It is possible to apply in person or by e-mail. Please remember that flexibility in the mobility duration mainly affects your receiving institution. It is your responsibility to discuss with the receiving institution that your short-term combined mobility is acceptable to them. Do not ask for flexibility in the duration of mobility without having already made an agreement with the receiving institution.
