Superlegalisation. The authenticity of signatures and stamps on original documents is authenticated:
State with which the Czech Republic has signed a treaty of legal assistance. Original documents are valid in the territory of contracting states without further authentication. If the applicant presents copies of such documents, they must be officially authenticated copies prepared by a Czech or foreign notary, at a Czech Diplomatic Mission abroad, or prepared via the Czech Point service.
Country that is a member of the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 (Convention de La Haye), where document authentication requires an Apostille. An Apostille is a special stamp or certificate issued by an official authority in the country where the applicant’s previous education was completed. Each country that is part of the Hague Convention has its own designated Apostille Authority available at the Hague Conference website at: hcch.e-vision.nl (choose “Authorities (per Convention)” › “Convention No. 12”, direct link).

In case of apostille in India: The MFA will issue an apostille on a notarized copy, which will stay in the student`s file. Do not send originals so they do not have to be returned.
People's Republic of Bangladesh acceded to the Hague Convention on the abolition of the requirement to verify foreign public documents in the form of superlegalization. However, the Czech Republic (along with some other states) has reservations about this step and continues to demand super-legalization www.hcch.net. CZU fully respects this decision, and therefore students submitting Bangladeshi study documents for internal evaluation must have everything verified in the form of superlegalization as in the past.
