From July 8 to July 9, 2025, our university welcomed representatives from Hochschule Bielefeld (The University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld), who visited as part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training programme. The aim of the visit was to deepen the cooperation between the two institutions and to further strengthen the long-standing partnership in the field of international exchange of students and staff.
The first day of the programme was held in collaboration with the staff of the International Relations Office (C-OMV). The introductory part was dedicated to a presentation of the office’s activities, with a focus on support services for incoming international students, led by M. Josek and D. Výlupková. This was followed by a discussion about the experience with the initiative of the European University Alliances and about other opportunities for further collaboration.
After a joint lunch in the university canteen, the programme continued with a visit to the newly renovated Dormitory G, a tour of the university brewery including a tasting session, and a guided walk through the university campus—covering faculties, the library, the botanical garden, and the arboretum.
The programme next day followed with a meeting at the Faculty of Economics a Business (PEF), which is a partner of the Business faculty HSBI in the IBSEN network. The discussion focused primarily on expanding collaboration within the existing Double Degree programme at both bachelor’s and master’s levels. Both universities already successfully implement annual student exchanges under this programme. Further topics included the possibility of participation in summer schools organised by PEF and cooperation on a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP).
The visit confirmed the mutual interest in continuing and expanding institutional cooperation. It proved valuable not only for academic mobility but also for enhancing the quality of services provided to international students.
