CZU Prague Hosts Inaugural ELLS Universities Alliance IRO Staff Week
The International Centre proudly hosted the very first EuroLeague for Life Sciences Universities (ELLS) Alliance IRO Staff Week, turning our campus into a lively meeting point for collaboration from April 20 to April 23.
Over four days, 16 colleagues from across the ELLS Universities came together to exchange ideas, refine mobility practices, and set shared priorities for the future. The week opened with a warm welcome from Rector Prof. Michal Lošťák, setting an energising tone for the programme ahead.
The heart of the Staff Week focused on the continued development of the ELLS Universities Alliance. Through hands-on workshops, participants worked on:
- improving student mobility processes,
- defining long-term strategic goals for the ELLS Universities IRO group,
- clarifying the role of international offices within the Alliance.
These sessions sparked productive discussions and laid the groundwork for stronger, more coordinated cooperation.
The programme also showcased the best of CZU Prague. Guests explored our campus, including the Food Processing and Training Centre, where they saw how we connect practical skills with education. They also enjoyed a visit to our university brewery, blending tradition with networking, and a guided tour of historic Prague, offering a taste of the city’s culture and charm.
The ELLS IRO Staff Week was more than a professional gathering; it was a celebration of shared values and commitment to international education. The week sparked fresh ideas, strengthened partnerships, and shaped a clear vision for the future of student mobility across the EuroLeague for Life Sciences Universities Alliance.
Our sincere thanks go to all colleagues from the ELLS Universities Alliance for their active participation, insight, and enthusiasm. Your engagement made this Staff Week truly meaningful, and we look forward to continuing our work together.
