The QS agency published this year's ranking of the world's universities according to their location in the subject areas. In the main of the five subject areas, "Life Sciences and Medicine," CZU saw a shift of approximately 100 places higher, ranking 401st-450th. In specific (detailed) areas, CZU is the best among universities from the Czech Republic in the particular area of "Agriculture and Forestry" (72nd place in the world) out of 450 evaluated, and in the specific area of "Environmental Sciences" (201st-250th place in the world), out of 520 evaluated. In the top 100 in a total of 51 specific areas, only CZU in the already mentioned area of "Agriculture and Forestry" and two art-oriented universities are among universities from the Czech Republic. In addition to the already mentioned specific areas, CZU also placed first in another particular area of "Biological Sciences" (551st-600th place out of 670 evaluated).
