Czech University of Life Sciences Prague at the Education and Crafts Fair 2026

Virtual reality, robotics and traditional crafts are among the attractions at the 31st edition of the Education and Crafts Fair (Vzdělání a řemeslo). Held from 5 to 7 November 2026 at the České Budějovice Exhibition Centre, the fair brings together dozens of schools and employers, including the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU), a regular participant. Visitors to the CZU stand can look forward to information about study opportunities as well as a few surprises.

Secondary school students and their parents can explore the study opportunities available at CZU and obtain detailed information directly from university representatives. Following last year’s presentation of the CZU Farmers ice hockey team, this year’s main attraction is Python, a Formula Student racing car built by CULS Prague Formula Racing, a student team from the Faculty of Engineering. The team has been operating under the Faculty of Engineering for eleven years and has achieved success with its racing cars both at home and in international competitions.

The CZU stand also offers something for visitors who are more interested in wildlife than in high-speed racing cars. They can enjoy close encounters with a bearded dragon, a western hognose snake, a common house snake, a corn snake and a reticulated python. Alongside information about study programmes that best match their interests, visitors will discover that studying the natural world at CZU goes far beyond textbooks.

“Interest in the CZU exhibition at the fair is even greater this year than last year, with visitors queuing up to see the racing car and snakes. It is not only secondary school students who are interested in studying at CZU, but also pupils in the eighth and ninth grades of primary school. This is good news for the university, as they are already learning about the study opportunities available at our campus in Prague-Suchdol, which may help them when they decide on their future education in four years,” says Marek Šedivý, Director of the Department of External Relations at CZU Prague.

Once again, the Education and Crafts Fair in České Budějovice provides primary school pupils, students and their parents with a comprehensive overview of further education opportunities and potential career paths. Visitors can try their hand at a variety of activities, production processes and the latest technologies used in education. Teachers and students introduce a wide range of fields, from electrical engineering, aviation, forestry, fisheries and animal husbandry to traditional trades such as confectionery, baking, gardening, bricklaying and carpentry. Five Czech universities, including the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, also present opportunities for further education and personal development.

The Education and Crafts Fair takes place at the České Budějovice Exhibition Centre from 5 to 7 November 2026 (Thursday and Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.). Admission is free for all visitors.
