Transcript of Records (from a university abroad)

The Transcript of Records is an essential and crucial part of your study abroad experience and plays a key role in the recognition of your academic achievements at the partner university abroad.

What is a Transcript of Records?

A Transcript of Records is an official document that provides an overview of your academic results and achievements during your stay at a receiving university abroad. This document includes information on courses taken, credits (ECTS) earned, grades and other relevant data. It is an important tool for documenting your academic accomplishments when you return to your home university because it ensures a transparent transfer of information on your academic performance between the institutions.

How to get your Transcript of Records?

Generally, the receiving university provides you with a Transcript of Records at the end of your exchange stay. According to Erasmus rules, this should not take longer than five weeks.

This document should be carefully verified and signed by the receiving university abroad.

Most universities already issue the Transcript of Records digitally in the form of a pdf document signed with a verified electronic certificate or a pdf document that can be verified online. However, there are also universities that will send you the Transcript by post. Sometimes, it also happens that the Transcript is sent directly to the CZU.

After returning from a foreign university you need to submit the original Transcript of Records to the International Relations Office. The coordinators will make a copy of the document (if needed) and return the original to you.

Together with the Online Learning Agreement, the Transcript of Records is the document used for final recognition of courses taken at the university abroad.
