How to find a receiving organisation?

There are no limits to the imagination! You can choose from a huge number of organisations, including universities, laboratories, companies, non-profit organisations, associations, sports clubs, farms, agricultural groups, student organisations, research institutes and other organisations with legal status.

CZU does not need to have a signed agreement with the receiving organisation you choose.

What are the best ways to find a receiving organisation?

A) Internet portals

Organisations from all over Europe publish traineeship offers on various online portals. We recommend checking:

  • erasmusintern.org
  • globalplacement.com
  • myinternship.eu
  • trainingexperience.org
  • workaway.info
  • environmentjobs.com

B) Contact organisations directly

Do not be afraid to contact a potential receiving organisation by email. You can usually find the relevant email address on the organisation's website.

If you do not have experience writing formal emails, take a look at our email templates . Do not forget to attach your CV. You can create one using online tools such as Europass or Canva . You can also try contacting organisations directly through social networks such as Instagram or Facebook.

Do not give up if an organisation does not reply or rejects your request. Keep searching and contact several potential hosts. We recommend approaching at least 10 organisations.

Where an Erasmus+ traineeship is not possible:
European Union institutions, for example, the European Parliament.

Must my traineeship be related to my field of studies?

Not necessarily. A traineeship related to your field of studies is certainly beneficial because it can help you gain relevant professional experience, but it is not a formal condition. The faculty decides whether to approve a traineeship that is not directly related to your field.

We recommend choosing a traineeship that is at least partly related to your field of study. For example, a student of wood engineering would be unlikely to have a hotel receptionist placement approved.

Interactive map of former traineeship destinations

If you need inspiration when looking for a receiving organisation, explore the interactive map below. It shows where CZU students and recent graduates completed their traineeships over the past 3 years. Each organisation also includes a website where you can find the necessary contact details. Destinations are colour-coded according to the faculty of the traineeship participant, but feel free to explore all of them.

How is the distance calculated? The one-way straight-line distance between the place of departure and the place of the traineeship is used.
What journey does the allowance cover? The amount shown is a contribution towards the entire journey to the traineeship destination and back.

10–99 km €56 €28
100–499 km €285 €211
500–1,999 km €417 €309

Important: Individual support is determined by the country where the traineeship takes place. Travel support is determined by the distance and mode of transport. The amount stated in the Participant Grant Agreement is always decisive.
