How to apply for a traineeship?

Application process

The application process for Erasmus+ traineeships is simple and flexible. There is no fixed application deadline and applications are open all year round, so you can plan your traineeship according to your availability.

The first step is to find a receiving organisation, such as a company, institution, university, office or non-profit organisation. Once you know where you would like to complete your traineeship, fill in the application form below.

Please apply at least one month before the planned start of your traineeship. For traineeships during the summer holidays, we recommend applying at least two months in advance due to the high demand during this period.

Faculty approval

After completing Part I of the application form, the necessary signatures must be obtained in Part II – Approval. Follow the procedure for your CZU faculty and contact the relevant traineeship coordinator below.

What happens after faculty approval?
Once the application is approved by the faculty (the first two signatures in Part II), the faculty coordinator will register the traineeship in your UIS. In Student's Portal, the section My placements abroad will then become available. There you can enter your bank account for payment of the Erasmus+ grant and access your Checklists.

Checklists

Checklists are used by students, faculties and the central International Relations Office to share documents electronically. They also help you keep track of whether all administrative requirements have been completed.

Before departure

  • Application form – uploaded by the faculty coordinator after faculty approval. The central International Relations Office adds the final signature of the institutional coordinator.
  • Learning Agreement – Before the Mobility – uploaded by the faculty after it has been signed by the student and the receiving organisation. The central International Relations Office adds the final institutional signature.
  • Insurance – uploaded by the student after receiving the insurance certificate. The central International Relations Office checks and approves or rejects the document.
  • EUR account – added automatically after the student enters the bank account in UIS for payment of the Erasmus+ grant.
  • Participant Grant Agreement (PGA) – scan – uploaded by the central International Relations Office after the PGA has been signed.
  • Grant payment – confirmed by the central International Relations Office. If the first payment is less than 100%, the amount of the first payment is displayed.

After return

  • Traineeship Certificate – scan – uploaded by the central International Relations Office after the original document has been submitted.
  • EU Survey – confirmed by the central International Relations Office after completion has been checked.
  • Recognition of the traineeship – confirmed by the faculty traineeship coordinator after the traineeship has been recognised.
  • All documents submitted – confirmed by the central International Relations Office after the final successful check.
