Application process
The application process for Erasmus traineeships is comfortably simple and flexible. Unlike other mobilities, there is no specific deadline for applying - the whole process is open all year round, giving you the freedom to work around your time availability.
The first step to a successful application is to know the receiving organisation, i.e. company, institution, university, office, non-profit organisation, etc. The second step is to complete the application form, which can be found below.
The whole application process for Erasmus traineeship is designed to meet the needs of students in the best possible way, allowing them to gain valuable experience in an international environment. The flexibility of the application process and the choice of the receiving organisation gives you the chance to take full advantage of this unique opportunity for personal and professional growth.
Please always apply at least one month before your traineeship is due to start. For the summer holidays, we recommend applying at least two months before the start of your traineeship due to the high demand for traineeships during this period.

Once the application is approved by the faculty (first two signatures of Part II), the faculty coordinator will register the traineeship in your UIS. In your Student's portal, you will see the My placements abroad section where you will be able to enter a bank link for financial aid and most importantly Checklists!
Checklists
Checklists are a tool for students, faculty and the central International Relations Office to share documents without printing and emailing them. Checklists also serve as a check for the student that all administrative obligations have been met.
Checklists for a traineeship include:
Before leaving:
- Application form - uploaded by the faculty coordinator after being signed by the faculty. Central International Relations Office will complete the last third signature of the institutional coordinator. This makes the application completely signed.
- Learning Agreement, before the mobility - uploaded by the faculty after the LA is signed by the student and receiving institution. The central International Relations Office will provide the last fourth signature of the institutional coordinator. This completes the signing of the LA. If necessary, the student can download the fully signed LA again and send it to the receiving institution.
- Insurance - uploaded by the student after receiving the insurance certificate. Central International Relations Office will perform a review - approval/denial.
- EUR account - to be added automatically after the student has filled in the UIS account for the payment of financial support for trips abroad.
- Grant Agreement for Participants (scan) - uploaded by the central International Relations Office after signing the Grant Agreement for Participants.
- Paid out scholarship - confirmed by the central International Relations Office. If the first payment is not a full 100%. the first payment ammount is displayed.
Upon return:
- Traineeship certificate (scan) - uploaded by the central International Relations Office. Traineeship certificate has to be an original submitted to the central IRO which created a scan and uploades it into the student's Checklist.
- EU survey - confirmed in by the central International Relations Office after checking compliance.
