Representatives of Canada and the EU have announced that they have finalized the terms of the Horizon Europe Association.
The necessary internal approvals on both sides are expected to take place in the coming months. Formal signing of the agreement should follow in mid-2024, and Canadian researchers could receive funding from the program as early as the end of next year.
Canada is to associate itself only with the second pillar of Horizon Europe - Global Challenges and Competitiveness. Further details on the level of funding available to Canada and other financial conditions have yet to be disclosed.
