The Horizon Europe Strategic Plan sets out three key strategic directions for EU research and innovation funding for the last three years of the program (2025-2027):
- Green Transformation
- Digital Transformation
- A more resilient, competitive, inclusive, and democratic Europe
The Strategic Plan further:
- Announces the creation of nine new jointly programmed or jointly funded European partnerships;
- Provides an overview of the results achieved by the European Missions in their first three years of operation;
- Announces the creation of the New European Bauhaus (NEB Facility);
- Commit to providing at least 10% of the 2025-2027 budget to support biodiversity-related themes;
- Mentions several specific objectives, such as balancing research and innovation and integrating social sciences and humanities.
