Thanks to the current budget situation is CZU able to support all applications for short-term stays of PhD students. If the budget is spent, the number of PhD mobility will be limited by the number of placements allocated to individual faculties (already applied in 2022).
For whom is PhD mobility intended?
The short-term stays are intended for PhD students without an employment contract. If the PhD student has an employment contract, it is necessary to make use of the staff mobility opportunities, about which you can find all the information on the CZU Intranet.
How to find a receiving organisation?
Short-term PhD mobility are most often realised in the form of a traineeship. The receiving organisation can be either a university or another organisation such as a company, a non-profit organisation, an institution, a research institute, etc. To find the right organisation for your stay, you can use both interactive maps, which can be found below, as well as your supervisor's contacts.
How to apply for a short-term PhD mobility?
As short-term PhD mobilities are in most cases realised in the form of a traineeship, you can use the same form to apply.
- Fill in Part I. of the application form and sign it.
- Send the application form to the coordinator at the International Relations Office of your faculty

- The Faculty Coordinator will register your exchange stay in the UIS --> in your "Student's portal", the section "My placements abroad" will appear.
- The faculty coordinator will inform the central International Relations Office about your mobility.
- The central International Relations Office will provide the final third signature in Part II. of the application form.
