A quarter of a century since graduation

On Friday, 22 September, one hundred and eleven students who graduated in 1992 reunited at CZU. Most of the graduates who arrived were from the Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources.

The afternoon program, focused mainly on presenting faculties, took place in a more intimate spirit. Dozens of graduates attended the presentation of the current forms of faculties by the deans, as well as excursions to the demonstration stables or the brewery. Many of the non-locals reserved the entire day for the reunion, whilst others only came for the main part of the program, i.e. the traditional social gathering starting at 6 pm.

The full Mensa cafeteria was welcomed by Rector prof. Ing. Jiří Balík, CSc., dr. h. c., club coordinator doc. Ing. Petr Heřmánek, Ph.D., and representatives of faculty management. The CZU Life Orchestra brass band contributed to the friendly atmosphere, and in the evening, the student atmosphere of past years was revived by DJ Míla. Satisfied listeners and dancers only let him go home shortly before midnight.

People talked, and the strict professors and the hasty 1990s were remembered, and people toasted to each other’s health and friendship, from which not even time and distance could detract. Amongst all of the memories, jokes and stories about where people had ended up in their lives, colorful ideas for further collaboration with alma mater were born. As the CZU Graduates Club says, graduation is not the end!
