The election took place at the 151st session of the General Assembly of the Czech Rectors Conference in Hradec Králové.
The rector of the Czech University of Life Sciences, professor Petr Sklenička, was elected Chairman of the Czech Rectors Conference (CRC). “I see my election as a great challenge, which I take on with an appropriate degree of responsibility. I look forward to co-operating with the newly elected directorate and all the rectors of Czech universities,” stated Petr Sklenička immediately following his election. He shall thereby replace the previous chairman, the Rector of Charles University professor Tomáš Zima, at the head of the CRC. He shall occupy this post from 1 August this year until 31 July 2021.
