CZU Prague is calling upon students to help Czech agriculture and forestry companies

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, borders are closed and Czech agriculture and forestry are in a difficult situation because they are lacking seasonal workers. The help is needed for spring and later on when harvesting throughout the whole country.

That is why the Minister of Agriculture, Miroslav Toman, together with the rector of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Petr Sklenička, the rector of the Mendel University in Brno, Danuše Nerudová and the rector of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Tomáš Machula turned to the students of specialized universities. In a joint statement, they invited them to engage in work in the agricultural, food and forestry sectors.
A common condition for working in agriculture is knowledge of the Czech language. That is why CZU Prague is putting together foreign and Czech students to help each other with the translation. If you would like to get involved, just fill out this questionnaire. We will try to connect you with Czech speaking students and you will be able to go together.
The advantage is that in most of our faculties, this seasonal work is an opportunity to get credit for professional practice. It is also an opportunity to earn a little extra money since these jobs are usually paid.
