On 16 and 17 June 2026, Nabočany in the Chrudim District is hosting the nationwide Naše pole 2026 exhibition, one of the major professional events focused on crop production, plant protection, nutrition, and modern agricultural machinery. This traditional exhibition offers visitors presentations on field trials, demonstrations of technological procedures, and current trends with practical applications in agriculture. The Czech University of Life Sciences Prague is also part of the professional program.
Visitors can look forward to a wide range of crops presented directly in field conditions, practical demonstrations, and information useful for everyday farming. The exhibition also provides a space for meetings among experts, farmers, company representatives, students, and everyone interested in current trends in crop production. It is therefore an opportunity to gain new knowledge, inspiration, and contacts across the agricultural sector.
The Czech University of Life Sciences Prague traditionally participates in this showcase of modern trends in agriculture. This year’s professional program focuses on precision agriculture. Associate Professor Milan Kroulík from the Faculty of Engineering is giving a lecture for more than 350 students from secondary agricultural schools attending the exhibition on the topic of Zonal Application of Liquid Substances in Field Crop Stands. However, this is not dry theory, but a practical explanation of the principle behind a trailed sprayer equipped with a camera system for zonal and spot application.
“Zonal application means the individual treatment of living areas in a field, for example, in fertilization, where we adjust the dose based on yield potential, plant condition, and similar factors,” explains Associate Professor Kroulík. “In spot application, we target individual plants or weed patches. As soon as the camera detects weeds, it activates the spraying section. Thanks to the system of zonal and spot application, we can save up to 70 percent of plant protection products,” points out Associate Professor Milan Kroulík.
The scope of the crops and trials on display shows that Naše pole is truly an extensive showcase of agricultural innovations. Visitors can see more than 600 varieties of crops, over 70 trials focused on plant protection, and 140 trials dedicated to plant nutrition. Demonstrations of state-of-the-art agricultural machinery, an exhibition of horses for agricultural use, and the 5th Czechoslovak Championship in Horse Plowing further complement the program.
