Yes, once you become an employee, you get to choose from a variety of events to take part in. We, at the Welcome Centre, often organise trips, cultural excursions, workshops and seminars, concert and theatre visits, language cafes and Czech language courses among others. How can I access campus facilities such as libraries, gyms, and sports clubs?
After you receive your employee card you can use the library, gym or swimming pool at a discounted price. Please check the CZU Sports Center webpage to get detailed information about these.
Are there any on-campus medical facilities or clinics available for international scholars?
There is no on-campus facility that provides you a doctor. You can contact the Welcome Centre if you need any assistance with the search for a specific medical professional. You can find information about healthcare and health insurance on this website.
What are the transportation options available within the city or town where the university is located?
Prague’s transportation system is easy to navigate. You can find metro, tram or bus in every part of the city. From the university, you can take the buses 107 or 147 to reach the metro station Dejvická or you can transfer to the tram and train at Nádraží Podbaba and from there you can go to your desired destination.
How can I stay updated with important university announcements and news?
Once you become an employee, you will have access to Intranet to keep up with the announcements and news. In order to receive information about important announcements and news you can also look at CZU webpage. After you register with the Welcome Centre, you will receive information regarding activities organized by the Welcome Centre.
How can I overcome the cultural differences and potential challenges as an international scholar in Czech Republic?

Where can I find information about mentorship?
CZU has a buddy program for students. As a student, you will receive a notification e-mail after arrival. Also, as a CZU employee, you can contact the Welcome Centre about family issues, accommodation, visa, or any other topic that you need assistance with.
