CZU is the third-best university in the country in terms of the quality of science

Just as last year, CZU excels in the latest international Leiden Ranking, where it is the top university in the Czech Republic in two categories, and is ranked third out of ten Czech universities in terms of scientific quality.

The Leiden Ranking evaluates the performance of approximately 1,500 universities worldwide based on scientific publications in the Web of Science database. CZU, as in the previous year, defends its leadership in the top ten percentile in this ranking and is also the best in the area of ??Life and Earth Sciences. In terms of overall assessment of the quality of science, it ranks as third in the Czech Republic, behind the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and Charles University.

The Leiden Rankings evaluate universities based on various metrics, including scientific impact, collaboration, access to open data, and gender diversity. Key indicators include the proportion of publications in the top 10% of most cited journals, which indicates the scientific quality of a university.
