Policy Conditions
Read the Policy Conditions before arranging your insurance
The Policy Conditions specify the exact scope of the insurance,
exclusions, the obligations of the insured person and the procedure
to follow in the event of a claim.

What must the insurance cover?
Every outgoing student must have insurance valid for the entire mobility period.
The insurance must correspond to the nature of the stay abroad and should
include coverage of the following areas:
- medical expenses and serious illness,
- accidents and their consequences,
- transportation or repatriation to the Czech Republic,
- liability for bodily injury and property damage,
- damage to or loss of personal belongings and travel documents,
- professional liability insurance in the case of a traineeship.
Insurance from another insurance provider is permitted.
However, CZU must verify that the insurance meets all required coverage conditions.
Students arranging insurance with a provider other than ERGO must therefore expect
a significantly longer approval process. CZU reserves up to
45 days for this verification.
Main benefits of ERGO insurance
- insurance designed for students, trainees and PhD students,
- medical expenses coverage, including treatment of COVID-19,
- assistance services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,
