The foreign university you have selected may require you to submit additional documents or complete other administrative steps in its information system.
Always read all the information and instructions given to you by the receiving university very carefully. The instructions often include deadlines that you have to meet! Some partner universities will not accept you for an Erasmus if you do not follow the deadlines! Please do not underestimate the importance of the documents for your receiving university - they are crucial.
The receiving university will probably ask you to fill in some form of application in the beginning. In most cases, the application is completed online - by entering the university's study system (the equivalent of UIS), filling in your data, and uploading documents. However, there are also universities where you have to fill in the application form in Word and send it to, for example, the coordinator's e-mail.
The application usually includes the following documents:
- Language certificate (of a language you are going to study in)
- If you do not have one, but you have studied the required foreign language (usually English) at CZU, please contact the International Relations Office to request a certificate. (outgoing@czu.cz).
- If you have not studied the foreign language, find out what are the language certificate requirements of the receiving university. Not only for Erasmus students, there is the EU Academy, where you can create a certificate in any EU language. Visit https://academy.europa.eu/ to create an account. Once created, type "english placement test" into the search bar and take the test. You will receive a certificate according to the test result.
- Transcript of Records (study results at CZU)
- You can print the study results overview from the UIS in the section "My college" under the "Student's portal". There you will find the "Print documents" icon, select "Study Overview" and do not forget to choose the language of your document. Click "Print" and download the PDF file with your study results.
The receiving university may also require you to send your grade point average, upload a photograph, provide proof of insurance, etc.
If you are not sure about any documents, please contact the central International Relations Office (outgoing@czu.cz).
